Mallory Carson, ARCT – Artistic Director
Mallory Carson is a proud member of the Cambridge arts community. She has twice been nominated for a Bernice Adams Award, and won the award in May 2015. She is a link between the generations, with “old school” training and a love for the music of this generation. Mallory is Royal Conservatory trained singer who has over 25 years as a professional soloist and actress. Since 2001, she has been an active vocal teacher and drama coach, directing Sweet Voices. (a 30 member performing troupe of girls) and HeartSong Sisters (a female vocal quintet), wrote two original musicals as well as fundraisers for the Bridges project in Cambridge, and the Children’s Wish Foundation. Her work with Galt Little Theatre from her teens until her mid twenties fostered her love of musical theatre. She did her musical training at the Royal Conservatory of Music to ARCT level, refining her skills singing in Classic Touch dinner theatre, Opera in Concert, the Toronto Gilbert and Sullivan Society, and folk festivals where she performed her own work. Subsequently, Mallory has had the opportunity to work with the youth of our city. In 2005/06 she was asked to lead the Jacob Hespeler Secondary School Jazz Choir.
